Photo: Memorial to War Victims Destroyed in Occupied Artsakh

Following the occupation of Artsakh, Azerbaijan continues to destroy memorials dedicated to the victims of the Artsakh liberation struggle. This has been reported by the Geghard Foundation.

“The latest victim of vandalism is the memorial in the village of Khnzristan in the Askeran region, dedicated to the victims of the Artsakh and Great Patriotic wars. It is noteworthy that Azerbaijanis particularly target memorials symbolizing the victories of the Armenian people and the statues of national heroes. Azerbaijan’s primary goal is to ‘cleanse’ the entire territory of Artsakh from Armenian identity and culture,” the statement reads.
