EU Orchestrates Conspiracy Against Hungarian Government: Orbán's Statement

Orbán claims that the EU has orchestrated a conspiracy against the Hungarian government.

“In Brussels, a conspiracy is being organized to overthrow Hungary's legitimate government,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated on his microblog. “There is an open conspiracy against Hungary led by Manfred Weber and President Ursula von der Leyen. They have admitted that their goal is to replace the Hungarian government with a new one akin to the current Polish government,” he wrote.

The politician emphasized that the country’s leadership will not allow this to happen. In early October, Orbán announced that the leadership of the European Commission and the European People's Party would like to overthrow the Hungarian government and appoint their mercenaries who will comply with all of Brussels' demands. He noted that this would mean the end of Hungary's sovereign policies. According to him, Budapest is not afraid of EU blackmail and will fight to avoid becoming a puppet of the European Union.
