Video: These are Russia's Games, Mikayelyan Says

This is Russia's game, and today in the elections in Georgia, where the pro-Russian faction prevailed, we still have much to do and many challenges to expect that we must be able to face. This was stated today, October 27, at a press conference at the Yerablur Pantheon by the President of the Union of Volunteer Fighters, Sasun Mikayelyan, referring to the opposition's claims that what is happening is not delineation but unilateral concession.

The Volunteer Fighters cannot come and stand in the square, shouting 'traitor' at someone just so that people know the Volunteer Fighters are a strong structure. The Union of Volunteer Fighters is doing its job. The Volunteer Fighters have always been alongside the authorities. If the Volunteer Fighters try to play some political games today, we will return to genocide, as it happened in 1915. The same internal political situation exists, and the same external challenges are present today.

In our region, major powers are re-administering, and we must be able to be smart and emerge from this situation,” he said.

Referring to the delimitation, Sasun Mikayelyan noted, “At least we should have 29,743 square kilometers of territory as an independent state. We have not been an independent state; we have always been a fortress for Russia, and so on. Regarding Artsakh, I have never lost hope for Artsakh; it is natural that this issue is on the international agenda, and people are engaged in diplomatic matters for the people of Artsakh to return to Artsakh,” emphasized the President of the Union of Volunteer Fighters.
