VIDEO: Elections in Georgia Occur Amidst Tense Atmosphere

Elections in Georgia are taking place in a tense atmosphere, as can be seen from the videos being published online. Near a polling station in the Isani district on the outskirts of Tbilisi, voters have clashed.

Another brawl occurred at a polling station in Tbilisi's Gldani district, where voters and local observers fought with each other.

An opposition observer was subjected to physical violence at the 69th polling station in the Georgian town of Marneuli. According to the news outlet Alik Media operating in Georgia, President Salome Zourabichvili also commented on the incident, stating that it is shameful and immoral to exploit ethnic minorities for the purpose of falsifying elections.

Due to the incident at the 69th polling station in Marneuli, the votes from that station have been declared invalid, announced CEC spokesperson Natia Ioseliani in a briefing.
