This was a Signal for Brussels: Michel
The EU has received a signal from the BRICS summit in Kazan to stop 'lecturing' other countries of the world. This was stated by Charles Michel, President of the European Council, in an interview with the British Financial Times.
“We are convinced that we know what is right and what is wrong. And we make no effort, at least, to understand the reasons why other countries think differently,” he emphasized.
According to Michel, the EU should show greater respect towards developing countries with whom the alliance has signed strategic, trade, or political cooperation agreements. The participation of EU partner countries in the BRICS summit held in Kazan served as a signal for Brussels to cease 'lecturing' other parts of the world, he added.
