VIDEO: The Deferment Process for Students Over 18 is Simplified, Says Zhanna Andreasian

«The main goal of this project is to make deferment opportunities more accessible,» stated Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasian while presenting the draft law to amend the law on “Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel” in the National Assembly.

«With this legislative regulation, we provide the opportunity for a one-time deferment for the entire duration of their studies, which simplifies the administrative process. This enables us to offer several thousand citizens annually, who have turned 18 but are still continuing their studies in schools and colleges, the chance to receive a one-time deferment, successfully complete their studies, and only then proceed to military service,» the minister emphasized.
