US to Allocate $20 Billion to Ukraine from Frozen Russian Assets
The US government will allocate $20 billion to Ukraine as part of a loan from the 'Big Seven', funded by frozen Russian assets abroad. This was announced on October 22 by US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
“We are 99 percent ready to do this, with just a few small issues left to resolve. There is nothing more important to us than its decision,” Yellen stated, as quoted by Bloomberg.
Yellen also announced that the preservation of the global order is crucial for the American government, which is why the country will continue to assist Ukraine in the defense sector. She reiterated the significance of this commitment, stating, “For the American government, preserving the world order is significant, and in this regard, the country will continue to help Ukraine in the defense sector.”
