Israel Designates Hezbollah Funding Institution as Terrorist Organization

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has designated the Lebanese financial and credit institution 'Al-Qard Al-Hassan' as a terrorist organization. This organization sponsors the activities of the Shiite 'Hezbollah' movement in Lebanon and provides assistance to its supporters. This information was reported by the press service of the military department.

The minister has signed an order to include 'Al-Qard Al-Hassan' in Israel's list of terrorist organizations. 'This recognition is part of a broad campaign conducted by Israeli defense structures against the economic resources of Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations,' the statement says.

The decision to list this association is based on recommendations from intelligence, the army's general staff, and general security services.
