The attractiveness of BRICS lies in the fact that the association does not impose conditions on its members, unlike NATO or the EU, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia.

“The appeal of cooperation within BRICS is that no one poses a ‘either/or’ question. This is a condition that is indeed very much favored by NATO and the EU. But in BRICS, no one speaks that way, making the organization more appealing,” Peskov said during a broadcast on NTV.
