How Many Hezbollah Militants Have Been Eliminated Following Hamas's Attack on Israel

On October 7, 2023, following Hamas's attack on Israel, Israeli military forces have killed more than 2,000 members of the Hezbollah movement, The Times of Israel reported on Monday, citing data from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The Israeli Defense Forces have eliminated 1,200 of these Hezbollah militants during offensive operations in Lebanon. Among the dead are several commanders.

The IDF believes that Hezbollah is struggling to replenish its forces to counter the five Israeli divisions operating in southern Lebanon. The IDF estimates that Hezbollah still possesses about 30% of its missile arsenal that was available before the launch of military operations against Israel, which still amounts to thousands of missiles.

However, the elimination of Hezbollah leaders as well as many field commanders prevents the movement from carrying out the mass missile strikes it had initially anticipated, the Israeli Defense Forces clarified.
