We See a Serious Threat of Large-Scale War: Araqchi

Tehran supports the establishment of a ceasefire between Israel and the movements of Hamas and Hezbollah, but is also prepared for an escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated on Saturday. This was reported by Interfax, citing the EFE agency.

"We see a serious threat of large-scale war, apart from the Zionist regime (as the Iranian authorities refer to Israel)," he said during a visit to Turkey.

"We advocate for the peaceful resolution of conflicts (between Israel, Hamas, and Hezbollah)," Araqchi added, "but at the same time, we are prepared for other scenarios."
