‘Rospotrebnadzor’ Seizes Biologically Active Supplements Registered in Armenia
‘Rospotrebnadzor’ is conducting monitoring of the market for biologically active supplements (BAS), resulting in the withdrawal of over 118 thousand packages of products from circulation. This information was shared with reporters by the press service of the supervisory authority, as reported by TASS.
During the monitoring, ‘Rospotrebnadzor’ identified 48 food BAS that did not comply with the mandatory requirements of legal acts established by the Customs Union, as recognized by the authorized bodies of the Republic of Armenia. This poses risks for the circulation of safe products in the market.
It was noted that ‘Rospotrebnadzor’ has established a working group that includes BAS producers. Measures are being organized and implemented to seize BAS from the Russian market that contain simethicone and melatonin. More than 118 thousand packages of products have been seized.
