What Did Zakharova Say in Response to Questions About Azerbaijan's Barbarities?

During a traditional press briefing, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry was asked how Russia views the fact that the Baku regime is destroying the historical neighborhoods of Stepanakert. Her response was as follows: 'As I understand it, we are talking about the territory of Azerbaijan, where the laws of that country prevail.'

Regarding historical monuments, Maria Zakharova advised that this question should be directed not to the Russian Federation but to international organizations, particularly UNESCO.

According to the Russian diplomat's 'iron logic,' if Stepanakert is located in 'Azerbaijani territory,' then all actions taken by the Baku regime are justified. It seems that, one fine day, if Moscow decides to demolish, for example, the historical center of Kazan, it would also be justified, as Tatarstan is part of Russia and is governed by Russian laws.
