France Bans Israel from Participating in Euronaval Exhibition - Politico

France has prohibited Israeli companies from participating in Europe’s largest naval exhibition, Euronaval, which will take place from November 4 to 7 in Paris. This was reported by Politico.

According to the publication, while representatives of Israeli companies will still be able to attend the event, they are barred from showcasing military technology at the exhibition booths. It was expected that seven companies from Israel, including defense giants Rafael, Elbit Systems, and Israel Aerospace Industries, would participate.

As reported by Lawrence Norman, a correspondent for the Wall Street Journal, the decision to ban Israel's participation "comes from the Élysée Palace," meaning it is a directive from the French administration. Norman and Politico believe that Paris's decision is linked to the deterioration of relations between French President Emmanuel Macron and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid escalating attacks by the Jewish state in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
