Former Mayor of Gyumri to be Arrested

The former mayor of Gyumri, Samvel Balasanyan, is set to be arrested, according to 1Lurer.am. Balasanyan is facing public criminal prosecution for the illegal alienation of land adjacent to the "Black Fortress" historical and cultural monument. Among the accused is his younger son, Khachatur Balasanyan.

In addition to the Balasanyans, the former and current deputy mayors of Gyumri, as well as another individual, are also facing charges.
