Erdogan: UN is Unable to Protect Its Personnel

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that the supply of aid to the Gaza Strip has decreased due to Israeli obstacles, while the UN's inaction is alarming.

“We are witnessing a serious decline in the volume of aid being delivered to the Gaza Strip. This is due to the fact that Israel is intimidating humanitarian organizations. However, as winter approaches, additional efforts must be made to ensure that the people of Gaza have everything they need. Furthermore, our statements that Israel will not halt its actions in Gaza have materialized, and it is already attacking UN peacekeepers,” Erdogan said after a government meeting.

The Turkish leader noted that “the UN is even incapable of protecting its personnel.”

“This is shameful and makes us concerned. Israeli tanks are entering the UN zone, attacking peacekeepers, injuring them, while the UN Security Council is merely watching this entire lawlessness instead of trying to stop Israel,” Erdogan added.

He also reminded that Israeli leadership “receives approval and assistance from countries that previously supported terrorists in Syria and did not allow Turkey to fight against them.”
