Pentagon Confirms Biden's Decision: What is Being Sent to Israel Along with American Soldiers

The U.S. Department of Defense has confirmed that under the orders of President Joe Biden, it will send a THAAD anti-missile defense system to Israel, along with American military personnel for its maintenance and operation, as announced by the Pentagon.

"At the President's direction, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has authorized the deployment of the THAAD system and U.S. military team to Israel to assist and bolster its air defense capabilities," the department stated in a released message.

The Pentagon noted that the decision comes in response to recent missile attacks on Israel by Iran.
