North Korea Orders Artillery Units at Border to Prepare for Fire, Media Reports
The General Staff of the Korean People's Army has ordered its border artillery units to be fully prepared for firing, according to Voice of Korea radio, citing a representative from the North Korean Ministry of Defense.
“On October 13, a representative from the Ministry of Defense stated that the General Staff has instructed the border artillery formations to be ready to fire,” the publication noted.
It is worth mentioning that North Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that South Korea had sent drones to Pyongyang three times since last week—on October 3, 9, and 10—to distribute leaflets. North Korea considers this action a military provocation and a violation of its sovereignty.
