"Hot Heads, If They Hadn't Listened, Would Have At Least Bombed Us": Lukashenko

In the West, hot heads have heard signals regarding changes in the Russian nuclear doctrine, which cools their enthusiasm. This statement was made by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. The video was published on the Telegram channel of journalist Pavel Zarubin.

“Hot heads, if they hadn’t listened, would have at least bombed us, especially Russia, with those long-range missiles. And this probably cools their enthusiasm,” he said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a permanent consultation of the Security Council on nuclear deterrence, suggested discussing the updating of the foundations of state policy in the field of nuclear deterrence. Putin stated that Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression, including if the adversary poses a critical threat to sovereignty using conventional weapons.
