How Successfully Have the Causes of the War Defeat Been Summarized? Kyaramyan Provides Details
The Head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Arghishti Kyaramyan, answered the question on Public Television regarding how successfully the causes of the war defeat have been summarized from a legal perspective.
"To put it simply, the situation is already clear to us in all directions. Investigations have been carried out in all directions; the main investigation is completed, and we have a real picture from our perspective," said Kyaramyan.
"For us, the overall picture is much more important than the criminal liability of individual persons. In total, we have sent cases to court with an indictment concerning more than 600 individuals, and discussions are currently ongoing regarding about 100 more cases for their completion and submission to court.
We have approached this issue not merely as criminal cases but have also placed great importance on their historical value, trying to address all episodes as objectively as possible. There are military operations to which we have referred, down to the level of questioning any ordinary soldier. The overall number of cases is around 2000 volumes," Kyaramyan noted.
