Son of Former Mayor Balasanyan Arrested at Airport; Their Meeting Prevented

An intriguing situation unfolded at the Zvartnots Airport last night, as reported by ArmLur.
According to information received by the media, around 5:00 AM, the younger son of the former mayor of Gyumri, Samvel Balasanyan, was arrested at the airport. His son, Khachatur Balasanyan, was taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee.
Sources indicate that the former mayor's son was surprised by the situation and was on his way out of the country to reach his father, who is receiving treatment abroad. However, law enforcement prevented the meeting between father and son.
