US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has informed Southeast Asian leaders that Washington is concerned about China's "more dangerous and illegal" actions in the South China Sea. His remarks were reported by the Associated Press.
"We are very concerned about China's increasingly dangerous and illegal activities in the South China Sea, which have resulted in injuries to people and damage to vessels of ASEAN countries (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) and contradict commitments to peaceful dispute resolution," said Blinken.
Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of maintaining a collective commitment to defending stability in the Taiwan Strait.
