Was There a Secret Meeting Between Pashinyan, Putin, and Aliyev in Moscow?
The newspaper "Hraparak" writes: "From the course of the visit to Moscow and the public positions of the Armenian authorities, it creates the impression that Nikol Pashinyan has once again staged a demarche against the Russian Federation. Firstly, Armenia did not join the two statements adopted at the meeting of the deputy foreign ministers of the CIS states. Secondly, during his speech at the summit of the CIS leaders, Pashinyan stated almost in explicit terms that there is no document that envisions handing over control over the road connecting Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan, or the so-called Zangezur corridor, to a third country, implying that Russia should not nurture hopes.
Here lies the 'stone' towards the November 9 statement. There are also rumors that it was Pashinyan himself who rejected the three-party meeting in the Pashinyan-Putin-Aliyev format. The assistant to the President of Russia on foreign policy issues, Yuri Ushakov, had indicated that Moscow intended to organize a trilateral meeting on October 8, but 'one' did not support this idea. It appears that Pashinyan is committed to the obligations he undertook before Western centers and is rejecting the Russian platform, furthermore, he is gradually distancing Russia from Armenia. However, in this context, it is also noteworthy that Putin has invited the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to Kazan for the BRICS summit, which will be held on October 23-24. Political circles interpret this invitation in various ways, with some convinced that Pashinyan has entered into certain shadow agreements in Moscow and is going to Kazan to continue what he started. Moreover, rumors circulated yesterday that there was a secret meeting between Pashinyan, Putin, and Aliyev in Moscow on the morning of October 8, which has not been made public."
