What was Discussed in the Russian Federation Council Regarding Armenia
The Russian Federation Council has proposed holding an interparliamentary meeting dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was announced by the Armenian Embassy in Russia.
The idea was presented by Deputy Speaker Yuri Vorobyov during a meeting with Armenian Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan, emphasizing the importance of strengthening historical ties.
“Our task is to improve the connections between our countries and peoples, overcoming existing difficulties,” Vorobyov stated.
The Armenian ambassador expressed confidence that active interparliamentary dialogue contributes to the development and strengthening of relations between the two countries. He also shared some outcomes from the meeting of CIS leaders held the previous day.
Other topics discussed included cooperation within the CSTO framework, the construction of two Russian schools in Armenia, the promotion of the Russian language, and joint youth and sports programs.
