Theft from St. Gayane Church

A theft of 300,000 drams has occurred at the St. Gayane Church in Ejmiatsin. An unknown individual entered the church through an open window and stole funds by breaking into the donation box.

The Investigative Committee informed Auroranews that criminal proceedings have been initiated under the features of part 2, clause 3 of Article 254 of the Criminal Code. Preliminary data indicates that the perpetrator(s) accessed the church and exited through the window. The incident took place on the night of October 3, with the theft occurring from the church’s donation box.
