Video: Israel Launches 60 Airstrikes, Including on School and Mosque, Resulting in Casualties
The number of casualties from Israeli airstrikes on a school and mosque in the central Gaza Strip has reached 24, with at least 93 others injured, reports Al Jazeera.
In recent hours, the Israel Defense Forces' Air Force has carried out over 60 airstrikes on the northern regions of Gaza. This was reported by the Lebanese channel Al Mayadeen.
According to the report, this escalation occurred one day prior to the anniversary of an attack by the Palestinian Hamas militant movement on Israel.
The Israeli Air Force has also targeted command centers of the Hamas militant movement in the Deir al-Balah area in central Gaza, as stated by the military's press service.
“The Israeli Air Force has conducted precise strikes against Hamas terrorists operating in a command and control complex that previously served as the 'Ibn Rushd' school in the Deir al-Balah area,” the statement read.
It was noted that Israeli forces also struck the Shuhada Al-Aqsa mosque's command and control center in the same region. “These command and control centers were used by Hamas terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks against the Israel Defense Forces and the state of Israel,” the military's press service declared.
