It’s a shame that it’s a broken hand, not a neck. Medvedev

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, expressed his dismay over the broken hand of Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs. The politician shared his sentiments on his Telegram channel.

“It’s a pity that it wasn’t the neck. We’re waiting,” wrote Medvedev.

Rinkēvičs announced his injury on September 29 via the X social media platform. According to the President’s advisor on public relations, Martins Drageeris, the injury will not affect the head of state’s duties. He is still able to write and sign documents, the advisor noted.

In the same post, Medvedev commented on former U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks suggesting that a war could have been avoided during his presidency. He also sarcastically lamented that the former White House leader “has not been a leader, pharaoh, king, sultan, prince, or president anywhere for the last 10,000 years.”
