Israel Threatens Iran

Israel Threatens Iran

All those who try to harm Israel should remember the fates of Gaza and Beirut, which came under the powerful fire of the Israeli air force. This statement was made by Israel's Minister of Defense Yoav Galant while discussing the consequences of a possible Iranian missile attack against his country.

He made this statement during a visit to the Nevatim military airbase in southern Israel, which has become one of the targets of Iranian strikes, as reported by the military department's press service.

"The operations of the Israeli Air Force, both defensive and offensive, ensure the safety of Israeli citizens. The Iranians have not even considered the capabilities of the Israeli Air Force—no squadron has been damaged, no aircraft has been harmed, no runway has been taken out of service, and our operations have not been interrupted. Anyone who thinks that trying to harm Israel can deter us from acting should look at Gaza and Beirut," Galant stated.

The minister expressed confidence that Israeli forces are "strong in both defense and offense." He added, "And this will be reflected in the manner we choose, at the time and place we choose."

On October 1, Iran launched a massive missile strike against Israel in response to the assassination of key figures from the Palestinian radical Hamas movement, the Lebanese Shiite organization Hezbollah, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps leadership. Tehran has announced that 90 percent of the missiles successfully hit their designated targets, while Israel insists that Iran launched about 180 missiles, most of which were intercepted.
