Zelensky Hid in Bunkers at the Start of the War, Stoltenberg Says

The former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg revealed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hid in bunkers during the early days of the special military operation, making communication difficult.

In an interview with the British Financial Times, Stoltenberg stated that it took him two days to establish contact with Zelensky after the operation began. He noted that this was due to Zelensky hiding from Russian soldiers in bunkers.

Stoltenberg characterized his phone call with Zelensky during those days as “quite difficult.”

Earlier, Zelensky's biographer Simon Shuster spoke about the leader's life in the bunker, describing him as resembling a living corpse while in hiding.

Just a few days ago, following a meeting with NATO's new Secretary General Mark Rutte in Kyiv, Zelensky announced that the allies in Kyiv are “still not ready” to strike Russian missiles and drones within the country's territory.
