Russia and the USA on the Brink of War

If the USA begins to take measures to resume nuclear tests, Russia will respond immediately in kind. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov during a broadcast on RT, as reported by TASS.

“If processes begin that indicate the USA is looking towards resuming nuclear tests, Russia will respond immediately in kind,” the deputy minister said.

Commenting on Russia's withdrawal from the ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty in November 2023, Ryabkov noted that Moscow's “patience has run out.”

“We have waited 23 years, the final point has been placed. What happens next is an open question. The answer completely depends on the line that the USA and its allies will pursue,” he stated.

As clarified by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, the withdrawal from ratification is not equivalent to withdrawing from the treaty. “We continue to act in accordance with its spirit and letter,” he emphasized.
