US and Other G7 Nations Discuss New Sanctions Against Tehran

US President Joe Biden and his counterparts from other G7 countries have discussed new sanctions against Tehran and condemned Iran's attack on Israel in a phone conversation. This information is included in a statement released by the White House press office.

The statement reveals that Biden participated in the call with G7 leaders to address Iran's unacceptable attacks on Israel and to coordinate a response to this aggression, including new sanctions.

"President Biden and the G7 unequivocally condemned Iran’s attack on Israel," the document states.

Furthermore, President Biden expressed the United States' complete solidarity and support for Israel and its people, reaffirming the unwavering commitment of the United States to Israel's security.

Leaders of the G7 nations believe that the escalation of the conflict is in no one's interest. In this regard, the leaders called for diplomatic resolution at the conclusion of a video conference meeting urgently convened by Italy's G7 presidency.
