Emergency Meeting of Iran's Supreme Council Convened

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has convened an emergency meeting of the National Security Supreme Council at his residence. According to two Iranian officials informed about the meeting, it is taking place in response to an Israeli strike on Beirut, which aimed at targeting Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, as reported by Iranian media.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi has also stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not remain indifferent to a large-scale war in Lebanon.
