State of Emergency Declared at the Ministry of Internal Affairs: What to Expect on October 2
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that in anticipation of the resurgence of the sacred struggle, a "state of emergency number 1" has been declared at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Our sources indicate that police have been warned to forget about going on vacation in October, and they have been told they will be working 24/7.
Naturally, officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs have not confirmed this information; however, according to our source, even some employees have had to cancel their previously planned vacations, leading to legal issues.
As is known, street protests will resume on October 2. Bishop Bagrat called on citizens to gather in Republic Square on that day at 18:30. That day is a question-and-answer day in parliament, and Prime Minister Pashinyan is expected to visit the National Assembly. There were indications that the gathering would be organized near the parliament; however, there are reports that the Bishop is suggesting that on that day they remain in the square to block the building, preventing Pashinyan from entering his workplace on the next scheduled day of the government meeting.
