Pashinyan Wants Turkey to Assist in Establishing Peace with Azerbaijan, Erdoğan Says
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wants Turkey to assist in establishing peace with Azerbaijan so that they can coexist peacefully as two neighbors, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated at the Turkish House in New York, responding to reporters' questions, according to Turkish Daily Sabah.
"This is what we strive for," he said, adding that Ankara hopes to resolve the existing issues between Azerbaijan and Armenia, "as both sides advocate for peace." Erdoğan noted that "peace between the two countries will open the door to new opportunities and achievements, and the normalization process between Turkey and Armenia will also have relevant progress."
