Pashinyan Meets with Antonio Guterres
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York. Guterres welcomed Armenia's efforts to normalize relations with Azerbaijan and establish peace.
The Secretary-General noted that he is ready to contribute to strengthening stability in the South Caucasus region within his mandate.
Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the support from the UN and Secretary-General Guterres for Armenia's efforts toward peace and ensuring stability in the region.
In this context, Prime Minister Pashinyan addressed the current state of discussions on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the border demarcation process and the Armenian government's "Peace Intersection" project.
The two sides discussed recent developments in the region. Guterres praised Armenia's steps toward normalizing relations with Azerbaijan and establishing peace.
