Venezuela Requests International Arrest Warrant for Argentine President Milei

Venezuela’s Attorney General Tarek William Saab has requested Interpol to issue an international arrest warrant for Argentine President Javier Milei, as well as two members of his administration. This was reported by Reuters.

According to the agency, in addition to the Argentine leader, a request has been made for an arrest warrant for his sister, Karina Milei, who serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff, along with Argentina's Security Minister Patricia Bullrich. Milei is suspected of seven crimes, including theft.

On September 18, it was revealed that Venezuela's Attorney General's Office had requested arrest orders for Milei, his sister, and the Security Minister in connection with the United States' seizure of a Venezuelan Emtrasur plane in Buenos Aires.

The Attorney General stated that the Argentine leadership is suspected of “serious theft,” money laundering, as well as sabotaging the aircraft, illegal detention, and illegal alienation of property.
