Armenia and Cyprus to Establish Diplomatic Representations

On September 24, a joint session of the interparliamentary committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus was held in Nicosia. This information was reported by Hayk Konjoryan, the leader of the 'Civil Contract' faction in the Armenian National Assembly.

“During the meeting, we thoroughly discussed the multilayered relations between Armenia and Cyprus and emphasized the importance of interparliamentary cooperation, both bilaterally and in multilateral platforms. We addressed issues pertaining to the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and regional security. We also discussed the prospects for deepening relations between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union, as well as practical issues related to enhancing the joint agenda of Armenia and the EU.

We are pleased to note that Armenia and Cyprus have decided to mutually establish diplomatic representations in both capitals, which will give new momentum to the development of bilateral relations,” Konjoryan wrote.
