Our Priority is Our Neighbors, Says Iranian President

Peace and security must replace bloodshed and war in the world, declared Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, adding that Iran is not as it is portrayed by the world's media and stating that his country is ready to live peacefully and securely with the entire world.

“Our outlook toward the country, the region, and the world is clear and transparent. When I ran in the elections in Iran, my slogan was unity and integrity, as we must first eliminate the disagreements that exist in the country,” he said.

The Iranian president stated that he is not affiliated with any group or faction, which is why people voted for him. “In international relations, our priority is our neighbors, with whom we will achieve mutual understanding by maintaining borders, territories, and security. We will prevent any actions that threaten anyone’s internal security,” he said.

The president noted that Iran seeks similar relations with the world. “We have healthy and equitable relations with the world and believe that peace and security should replace bloodshed and war globally,” he said.

Pezeshkian emphasized that they have come to New York to convey this message to the world. At the same time, the president mentioned that Iran does not desire destabilization, but the assassination of Haniyeh will not go unanswered.
