The U.S. Will Do Everything to Prevent a Widespread War in the East, Biden

The United States will do everything possible to prevent the escalation of war in the Middle East, stated U.S. President Joe Biden.

“We are prepared to do everything we can to prevent the outbreak of a larger war,” the White House quoted the president's words.

Just the day before, Lebanese LBC television reported, citing the country’s Ministry of Health, that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes in the southern suburbs of Beirut reached 45 last Friday. Israeli air forces have targeted the southern neighborhoods of the Lebanese capital, known to be a stronghold of the Hezbollah movement.
