Mysterious Incident at a School in Ararat Region: 10-Year-Old Girl in Coma for 5 Days
For the fifth day, a 10-year-old girl from the Ararat region, E. Sh., has been in the intensive care unit of the "Saint Astvatsamayr" medical center. The child was transferred to this medical center from the Vedi medical center, where she sustained injuries at Vedi’s secondary school No. 2.
Today, on September 23, the child’s aunt, 45-year-old Eliza Shahnazaryan, told a Shamshyan.com reporter, "On September 19, my brother's 10-year-old daughter went to school like any other day. At 1:00 PM, they called the child's 19-year-old sister, not the father or mother, and said that the child was being transferred to the Vedi medical center, but it was nothing serious and the parents should come there. They wouldn’t tell my brother what had happened; they are spreading false information, but the child has a broken right arm, a skull fracture in three places, and is in a coma. Seeing that they were powerless there, they tried to transfer the child to Yerevan, but during the journey, the child lost her heartbeat. They contacted the Ashtarak hospital, where first aid was provided, and she was then taken to the "Saint Astvatsamayr" medical center in Yerevan. For the fifth day now, our child has not regained consciousness; her brain is swollen, and we are waiting for bad news every moment. Her condition is very serious. People won’t come to help; we call the class teacher but he just says who should be responsible for this, where is your human attitude – he says nothing. Neither the class teacher nor the principal has come to see the child even once during this time. One person says she fell down the stairs at school, another says she fell under my child’s feet; in short, they want to cover it up. They say there are security cameras in the school, but they are not working. We want to understand why they only started malfunctioning now.
We demand a fair investigation to finally reveal what really happened at the school that led our little girl, for whom we pray every minute, to end up in this condition."
