Special Situation Declared in Northern Israel Amid Escalating Tensions with Lebanon
A special situation has been declared in northern Israel, from Haifa to the Lebanese border, as announced by Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Daniel Hagari.
According to him, there is a possibility that Israeli territory may come under rocket fire from Hezbollah in the near future. “Those who have the opportunity to take shelter in protected areas can go to school and work (Note: Sunday is considered a working day in Israel). If there are any changes during the night, the logistics unit of the Israel Defense Forces will alert the residents of the north,” Hagari added.
Additionally, as part of new guidelines for citizen protection, gatherings in open spaces are limited to 30 people, while gatherings in buildings are limited to 300 people.
