NSS Employee Crashes into Residential Property While Highly Intoxicated
Today, September 21, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 03:40 AM, a 31-year-old resident of Yerevan, Hovhannes Karapetyan, crashed his "Range Rover" with the license plate "60 DO 088" into iron protective columns on Shahamiryans Street, then into gas pipes, and a gas meter. He continued forward, hitting the wall and iron gate of house number 75, damaging them and partially ending up in the residential property, reports Shamshyan.com.
According to preliminary information, luckily there were no injuries, but a gas leak was reported. A firefighting team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' emergency service (the 4th fire-rescue unit) promptly arrived at the scene. The site reports that the driver initially refused to take a sobriety test, but when he ultimately underwent sobriety testing, it was determined that he had reached the highest level of intoxication, resulting in a one-year suspension of his driving privileges.
According to sources, driver H. Karapetyan works for the National Security Service of Armenia.
