Law Enforcement Blocks Blogger Lapshin's Entry to Armenia

“Based on the international warrant from Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, law enforcement has just blocked my entry to Armenia at Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport,” blogger Alexander Lapshin wrote a moment ago on his Telegram channel.

“They demanded that I go with them to the office. I refused. They took my passport, and I have been standing in front of one of the passport control checkpoints for more than an hour. The situation is very unpleasant, and I need the support of the media. The border guards speak Armenian, and I only understood the word ‘arrest’,” Lapshin wrote.

Journalist Artyom Yerkanian reports: “Alexander Lapshin just contacted me and announced that upon arriving at Zvartnots Airport, our law enforcement has not allowed him to enter the country, confiscated his passport, and suggested that he wait. He assumes that the reason is the international warrant issued by Azerbaijan. It is interesting whether the warrant spread by Azerbaijan should serve as a basis for Armenian law enforcement.”
