What are the 3 Main Causes of Power Outages?

In the National Assembly, a discussion was organized by the "Civil Contract" faction regarding issues in the electricity supply sector and their solutions. During the discussion, the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, Garegin Baghramyan, highlighted three main problems present within the electricity supply company.

“The primary issue is the overloading of our infrastructure, mainly in the low-voltage area, as the majority of investments have been directed towards the modernization of the high-voltage sector. The second problem is related to the company’s management. There are synchronization issues between certain subdivisions within the company. There is also a need for improvement regarding the hotline, to make complaints more targeted. The third reason is that there are many problems among large consumers who own electrical infrastructure and are required to have qualified specialists. Sometimes accidents that occur in their systems lead to power outages in neighboring areas,” said Baghramyan.
