Pashinyan Hosts US Deputy Secretary of State's Representative: Key Discussions
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received a delegation led by Joshua Huck, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the United States.
The Prime Minister emphasized the dynamic nature of Armenia-U.S. relations and underscored the importance of U.S. administration support for implementing institutional reforms in the country.
Pashinyan noted the necessity for targeted programs in Armenia with U.S. support, including efforts toward infrastructure improvement.
Joshua Huck highlighted the U.S. commitment to continue its support for advancing democratic reforms in Armenia, mentioning the expansion of programs by the U.S. Agency for International Development and an increase in funding aimed at achieving these goals.
The interlocutors discussed the agreements reached during the high-level meeting of Armenia, the EU, and the U.S. held in Brussels this April and the progress on their implementation.
Topics were also raised regarding the discussions on the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as issues related to the Armenian Government's "Peace Crossroads" project. In this context, Prime Minister Pashinyan addressed the principled positions of the Armenian side and emphasized that Armenia is committed to the peace agenda and ensuring stability in the region.
