Former Deputy Defense Minister to Have 200 Million AMD Seized

In another ruling pertaining to the seizure of illegally obtained assets, the Anti-Corruption Court has decided to confiscate 200 million AMD in favor of Armenia. The ruling, presided over by Judge Narine Avagyan on September 20, 2024, confirmed a settlement agreement reached in the framework of the confiscation proceedings for illegally obtained assets.

According to the settlement approved by the court, 200 million AMD is to be transferred from former Deputy Defense Minister Alik Mirzabekyan and related individuals to the benefit of Armenia. The decision takes effect upon publication and can be appealed to the Court of Appeals within one month of publication.
