‘We do not have confirmation at this time’: Prime Minister's office responds to Russian hackers' attack
The relevant authorities are verifying the authenticity of the information regarding a cyberattack on the database of the Prime Minister's office by Russian hackers. This was reported to Armenpress by Armen Khachatryan, the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Prime Minister's office.
“The relevant authorities are verifying the authenticity of the information; we do not have confirmation at this time,” Khachatryan stated.
It is worth noting that reports emerged today indicating that one of the Russian hacker groups claimed to have breached the Prime Minister's office of Armenia, threatening that if the government does not transfer $2.5 million within the next 48 hours, the data will be destroyed.
