Video: Cooperation in Military Technology with Russia is Currently Below 10 Percent
If we have achieved a number of successes in the security sector, we still do not have significant successes in the economic sector, but we continue to make efforts to achieve progress. This was stated by Armenian National Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan during a panel discussion at the Second Global Armenian Summit.
"One of the successes we often mention is military-technical cooperation. Previously, we had over 96 percent military-technical cooperation with Russia; today that figure is below 10 percent, which reflects the successes of our political policies in the last 3-4 years. Today, we have several important partners in the field of military-technical cooperation, one of which is India, and another is France," he said.
The Secretary of the National Security Council informed that they are searching for new partners to make their efforts in this direction more effective. "We also aim to have about 25-30 percent of military-technical production take place within Armenia. We must be able to achieve that and have 4-5 partners, with the volume from each not exceeding 20 percent," Grigoryan noted.
