Which Cities Are Competing to Become Iran's New Capital?

The Iranian authorities are considering nearby cities by the Persian Gulf for relocating the capital from Tehran. This was announced by President Masoud Pezeshkian during a press conference on Monday. The information was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the Iranian president, as the country's capital, Tehran faces issues for which the authorities have no solution aside from moving the capital to another location. Previously, the Iranian president had already stated the necessity of relocating the capital for economic and environmental reasons.
