Russia Comments on Second Assassination Attempt Against Trump

The assassination attempt against former U.S. President Donald Trump in Florida highlights the destruction of democratic principles and morality in the country. This was stated by State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“The United States proclaimed itself as the bastion of democracy, but in practice, we see a vivid example of the destruction of democratic principles and moral norms,” he emphasized.

The deputy added that the assassination attempt against Trump was a glaring incident in the Western world.

A shooting occurred at Donald Trump's golf club in Florida while the presidential candidate was playing on the course. He was unharmed. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident as an assassination attempt against Trump. The suspect has been arrested. American media reports that the suspect is 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh from the Hawaiian Islands, who supports the Democrats and Ukraine.

This incident came two months after an assassination attempt against Trump in Pennsylvania.
